Mikayla
had stopped crying, even though she already knew her brattiness had upgraded
her spanking from a normal one to a round with his belt. She didn’t look
forward to its sting, but she knew it would break down the wall she’d built up.
“Go
sit on the couch.” Sam motioned toward the living room, and she quickly
complied. He followed and sat with her against the cushions, then raised an
eyebrow as she stood suddenly.
“I
changed my mind.”
“Sweetheart,
I know you’ve said you’ve got some things going on inside your head, but you
have exactly thirty seconds to get over my lap or I’m putting you there. If you
change your mind after that, so be it, but you’re not getting out of this one.”

start between her legs. She had wanted to run away when he sat down, but now
she didn’t know what to do. If it were anyone but Sam she’d have slapped him

Adaline Raine wound up in
the corner today. A spanking romance author in my corner, imagine that?!? Addy took
the time to answer a few tough, some easy and a couple of fun questions while
in the hot seat. Thanks for joining me Addy.
I find myself in the corner at least once a week, so don’t worry. Here we go.
MT: Your new book The Medic of Brighton Creek
features the rekindling of an old flame, a HOT medic and a limit testing,
sometimes intentionally naughty heroine. Congrats on its success, by the way, but how
much of your books are based on your own personal experiences?
AR: I want to say there is a little bit of me and
my experiences sprinkled throughout each one of my books. It might be a good
memory or the way I grew up or even something I fantasize about but it's there.
In my new release, Mikayla was raised by her grandparents and then loses them
early in her life. This is based a lot on me. I wish I had someone like Sam
guiding me through the tough parts!
MT: A strong supportive guiding hand, we should
all be so lucky. Is there a message in
your novel that you want readers to grasp or is it simply an outlet for your
deepest, darkest fantasies?
AR: Each story I write seems to have the heroine
overcoming something that is keeping her from being her true self or going
through rough experiences to get to a good spot. These relate at their core to
things I have done or similar challenges I have gone through. A tiny bit is
pure fantasy but not as much as one might think.
MT: What is your biggest challenge as an author?
AR: Finding the time to write! I have so many
wonderful characters with their stories waiting to be told, but alas life gets
in the way a lot! I'm amazed at others who are able to weave these great tales
and get them out so quickly! Major props!
MT: I agree 100%.
I’m always saying so many stories to be told, so little time. Along
those lines, What advice would you give to aspiring
writers?
AR: Share what you write! Don't be afraid to give
others the opportunity to see your work. If you have a story that speaks to
you, write it! There is someone out there who will enjoy it because it comes
from the world you have created.
MT: Do your friends/family know you write erotic
fiction?
AR: I have been more and more open with my
offline family and friends about writing. Many know that I at least write
romance and a small handful, though that number is growing, know that I write
romance with erotic elements. A select few even know that, gasp, it involves
spanking!
MT: Spanking!!!
I’m shocked, and here I thought it was a cookbook <wink> On
